Yoga Gangsters, a South Florida based non-profit organization which brings free yoga programs to youth in inner city communities, is seeking to fill various internship positions. These are ideal opportunities for college students who are seeking college credit as well as recent graduates who are interested in the non-profit sector, youth programs, and/or the holistic lifestyle. I. Programming Assistant Intern

Job Description: The Programming Assistant Intern supports the Director in communication and coordinating with all volunteer teachers and outreach programs.

Responsibilities include the following:

-Email Teacher Info Form to all newly graduated yoga teachers upon training completion and receive replies

-Update Teacher Spreadsheet, keeping record of all availability, program suggestions, etc

-Send Director all potential programs/contact info for further communication and confirmation

-Email all new confirmed program opportunities to volunteer teachers

-Coordinate volunteer schedules between teachers and each program location

-Keep record of all Program Agreement and Volunteer Agreement forms

-Contact past programming locations to reestablish programs

Qualifications:

-Self-starter, Fast Learner, Can work Independently

-Familiar with Excel, Email

-Excellent Written & Verbal Communication

-Passionate about Yoga/Non-profit Industries

-Outgoing, Social, Enthusiastic, Team Player

-Entrepreneurial

-Must be Detail-oriented, Organized

Commitment:

-Estimated weekly hours are 15 hours per week (Schedule is flexible, but most days will require a minimum of 1 hour, to keep the communication constant)

-Will work remotely, on his/her own computer while attending a weekly staff meeting on Wednesday afternoons

II. Social Media/Communications Intern

Job Description: The social media intern will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and getting visibility for our brand.

Responsibilities include the following:

-Create and maintain a content calendar

-Aggregate and/or create blog content

-Post and engage on various social media platforms (includes online marketing of all events, trainings, etc)

-Put together bi-monthly newsletter

-Internet research to find and engage with social media communications

-Ship all online t-shirt sales

Qualifications:

-Familiar with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram

-Passionate about Social Media

-Show initiative, out-the-box ideas. Ability to execute. Creative.

-Passionate about Yoga/Non-profit Industries

-Outgoing, Social, Enthusiastic

-Entrepreneurial

-Must be detail oriented, team player and technologically savvy

-Fast Learner

Commitment:

-Estimated weekly hours are 8-10 hours per week, unless you have more time than that! (Schedule is flexible, but most days will require a minimum of 1 hour, to keep the communication constant)

-Minimum 3-month commitment, but longer if you’d like)

-Intern will work remotely, on his/her own computer while attending a weekly staff meeting on Wednesday afternoons

III. Special Events/Promotions Intern

Job Description: The Special Events/Promotions intern represents our organization at events and educate the community about our programs

Responsibilities include the following:

-Seeks out new opportunities to participate in activities/events to engage community (conventions, festivals, etc)

-Attend all special events, which often includes working booths

-Reaches out to volunteer database to recruit assistants when needed

-Set up and breakdown at all events

-Collect emails at all events while marketing our outreach trainings

-Distribute Flyers, Brochures, etc

-Sell YG t-shirts or current promo items

-Take pictures at events to post on Social Media (may use camera phone)

Qualifications:

-Outgoing, Social, Enthusiastic, comfortable talking to strangers

-Passionate about Yoga/Non-profit Industries

-Reliable, Dependable

-Entrepreneurial

-Interested in Event Planning, Community Building

Commitment:

-Must be willing to work periodic weekends, flexible schedule

– Must have transportation to transport event supplies

-Open to travel when needed to assist Founder or Director in classes, workshops, etc
